OGUN STATE POLICE SUSPECTED ROBBERS HARASSING THE STATE SINCE THE LOCKDOWN

Ogun State Police Command has arrested some suspects in relation with unrest inflicted on residents of the state.

More so, as the Presidential directive on the 14 days lockdown rides on, the Lagos State Police Command reported of the same action going on at the Alimosho and Ifako Ijaye Local Government Area of the state, but it isn’t certain that it is by the same group of hoodlums causing the unrest.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana revealed the two state are working together to arrest the suspected persons.

AIG Sola SubairĀ  who wrote a statement for Ogun State Government said ”The attention of the Ogun State Government have been drawn to incidences of violence, alleged robberies and related crimes resurfacing in the State especially in the Sango-Ifo Axis.

The Ogun State Government has not only moved swiftly into action, the affected towns included but not limited to Sango, Ijoko, Ifo among other are currently under substantial security surveillance. The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodu, has communicated with all relevant agencies and mandated them, especially the state police command, to ensure law and order in all the affected areas. Initial arrest notwithstanding, the state command is not leaving any stone unturned as the command has arrested more suspects, and an investigation is currently on going as suspect in custody continue to provide helpful information”
