ANAMBRA AND OYO CIVIL SERVANTS TO RESUME ACTIVITIES AND STATE GOVERNMENT RELAXES CURFEW

Anambra State Government  on Saturday announced that its citizens are allowed to resume their daily activities, starting from Monday the 27th of April.

Governor Willie Obiano made this disclosure via a state broadcast saying,” with regards to religious groups, leaders of the church should ensure that worshipers comply with the standard protocols of COVID-19 which include wearing of face masks to church, use of hand sanitizer, social distancing and regular washing of hand.

Church leaders should decide how best to conduct mass and service in strict adherence to the principle of social distancing to ensure that worshipers are not endangered. Please note that their should be no crusade and vigils for the time being.

More so, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde at a media briefing said the movement restriction directive will be relaxed on the 27th of April for civil servants from level 13 and above, to resume work.

”The state secretariat will be opened on Monday. Only civil servants at level 13 and above with separate offices will resume. All meeting will be held online. No visitors are allowed except when necessary. There will hand washing facilities in strategic locations around the secretariat . Posters and banners will be in conspicuous places round the secretariat”

While saying that only one entrance to the state secretariat will be opened to staff alone, with all food canteens closed, Governor Makinde also relaxed the dusk -to-dawn curfew (7pm to 5pm) to allow farmers carryout their activities during the planting season.

He also added that only markets that meet up with the guidelines approved by the state will be allowed to open.
