According to Police Spokesman on Tuesday, a Police Inspector, Haruna Kawura was found dead, along Avana Primary, School Road, Shell Camp in Owerri, which he believes was an intentional act of the culprit due to the bruises on the deceased.

Inspector Haruna Kawura was said to  was said to have gone out for drinks on Monday night and only to be found lying dead on Tuesday morning.

“The victim is Haruna Kawura. He was an inspector of police. He was demobbed from mobile police in the North and was posted to Imo state and was later posted to Imo government house. His death was strange. There were bruises on his body. He must have been strangulated as there was gunshot on his body.” the spokesman said.

The deceased has been taken away in an ambulance from the Government House as Orlando Ikeokwu, the Police Spokesperson in the state revealed that investigation to identify those involved with the death of Mr Haruna is on going.
