Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu,​ has approved the sum of N 2.4 Billion naira for the prompt payment of gratuities to retirees in the state

This was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Abubakar Umar Dutsinmari (FCNA) , and made available to news men in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the statement, the retirees includes; State Civil Servants, Local Government and Local Government Education Authorities.

The statement further stated  that these retirees with a balance of N500,000 and below would be paid 100 per cent, while others with more​ balance stated above would be paid on percentage basis.

It also indicated that subsequent payments would continue as soon as there is an improvement in the financial situation of the state.
