To ensure that the security of lives and properties of people are guaranteed, the federal government has deployed additional security agents which include senior officers from the Nigerian Police Force. This is an attempt to ensure that there is no disruption of the electoral process in various communities of Anambra state. The comprehensive strategy of the security forces gave the people no reason to stay at home due to fear of violent attacks by unknown gunmen during the elections. The illegal Stay-at-home order imposed by the proscribed organisation will not be effective.

From all indications, the Nigerian security forces are ready to tackle any form of misconduct or violence during the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state. The deployment of additional security forces will boost the operational capacity and efficiency of the security formations operating in the state. The indigenes of Anambra are expected to cast their votes in an orderly fashion and desist from violence or any electoral misconduct.
