ANTHONY JOSHUA’S NEXT FIGHT MIGHT NOT BE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS- EDDIE HEARN

Despite the COVID-19 worldwide outbreak, Anthony Joshua’s promoter says the World Champion’s next fight might not be behind closed doors.

Eddie Hearn, Anthony’s promoter has disclosed his thought on whether to move the next fight against Kubrat Pulev, which was originally scheduled for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20 and postponed indefinitely because of the pandemic, back top the Middle East.

Hearn not sure of the possibility of staging Anthony Joshua’s fight in an empty stadium still makes the decision unsure due to some financial implication. And while speaking to the Boxing Social on Wednesday, he said “We’re not going to go to AJ and say, mate, there’s £10 million less in the pot – we’ve got to get creative,”

No. With what he has produced in terms of that live audience, I will be doing everything I can do make sure AJ doesn’t fight behind closed doors.”

Accepting the guidelines by the British Boxing Board of Control which which they insist are not necessarily binding, calling it “a very conservative starting-point” included that all shows taking place must be with fans as well as trainers and officials wearing face-masks.
