Arsenal are said to be ready to submit an £8m bid for PSG defender Thilo Kehrer, though it is highly likely that the offer will be rejected.

German centre-back Kehrer has slipped down the pecking order in Paris this season, as shown by his lack of appearances in the latter stages of the Champions League.

PSG would be willing to accept an offer in the region of £21m for the 24-year-old, who can still hit his stride in the right set up, according to reports.

And with David Luiz set to leave this summer, the pacey Kehrer could provide a superb option to rotate Arteta’s backline, with the ability to play at right-back also a valuable asset.
