The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its governorship primary in Edo.

This was made known by its spokesman, Kola Ologbodiyan, in a tweet on Thursday.

The primary which was slated for Monday, June 22, has been postponed to Tuesday, June 23.

Though the reason for the postponement was not disclosed, it may not be unconnected with the defection of Edo governor, Godwin Obaseki, which could happen any moment from now.
