The House of Representatives expressed frustration over the nonattendance of the service chiefs and Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, at a planned interactive session on Thursday during plenary.

The security heads instead sent representatives.

The House, originally set to hold a sectoral debate with the security chiefs, rejected the substitutes following a constitutional point of order raised by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.

Consequently, the session has been postponed, rescheduled for the following Tuesday, with the House insisting on the mandatory appearance of the service chiefs at the debate.

The service chiefs include Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Air Staff (CAS),Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, an Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.
