President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to answer questions agitating Nigerians on the ongoing lockdown of some parts of the country as he is set to address Nigerians in a national broadcast on Monday 27th April 2020 at 8pm.
This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President, Femi Adesina
As part of measures to control the spread of coronavirus, the president had put Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory on a lockdown since four weeks.
It would be Recalled that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 met with president Buhari and offered him input on what would inform his decision on whether to reopen the economy or continue with the lockdown.
Also, partial relaxation of some businesses is expected with strings of conditions attached, one of which will be compulsory use of face mask and temperature reading in public places.
Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.
