There are hopes that the current ban on interstate travels may be lifted soon as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has noted that it is currently reviewing guidelines to this effect.
The National Coordinator of the task force, Dr Sani Aliyu, while speaking during the daily press briefing said as soon as bus terminus observe and put in place COVID-19 preventive measures, the roads would be open.
Aliyu announced this just as the PTF Chairman, Boss Mustapha , noted that from next week, the Federal Government would decide on its lockdown policies, including the ban on interstate movements.

Mustapha acknowledged the receipt and consideration of the guidelines submitted by the Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki.
He added that the roads would be opened as soon as it is safe to do so.
He said, “At the moment, we still have restrictions on interstate travel. But we have been linking up with the Federal Ministry of Transportation through the Minister of State for Transportation.
