COVID-19: UBA DONATES N28.5 MILLION TO ANAMBRA

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) donated N28.5 million to the Anambra State government as part of its efforts to support the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to Anambra State Government, received the cheque on behalf of the state government in Awka.

The Secretary, who is also the Secretary of the Anambra State Action Committee on COVID-19 pandemic, while appreciating the bank for the donation, called for more support from well meaning people and organisations in the state towards the ongoing fight against the spread of the disease.

Speaking further, he asked that all donations be routed through the office of the SSG for proper documentation.

Mr. Casmir Molokwu, the regional manager of the bank, presented the cheque on behalf of Tony Elumelu, the Chairman of the Bank.

The state currently operates two accounts on the COVID-19 project.
