EIGHT PATIENTS DISCHARGED FROM LAGOS STATE ISOLATION CENTRE, RECORDS ANOTHER DEATH

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that eight patients have been discharged from the Isolation centre.

Making this announcement via his social media handle, the Governor disclosed that the patients tested negative to the disease after their treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

14th of April 2020 ”More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. Eight more people: two females and six males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. They have been discharged to return to their families, This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 69.”

Lagos state currently holds the highest number of discharged persons in the country by sixty-nine, with six recorded deaths from COVID-19 disease.

Moments before the Governor’s announcement, the Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Professor Akin Abayomi reported the death of another COVID-19 patient.

”A 56- year-old Nigerian who recently returned from the United State has died of coronavirus-related complications, this brings the total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to six”

Professor Abayomi appealed to Lagosians to abide to all the measures put in place to ensure safety ”I urge Lagos residents to remain on alert across communities and obey instructions aimed at containing the spread of #COVID19 infection” he concluded.
