As the lock down due to the Coronavirus outbreak continues in most part of the country, the Federal Government has appealed to essential service providers and traders not to raise the prices of goods and services.
According to Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 “This is the best time to be considerate and to show empathy for our fellow Nigerians”
“To the Nigerian traders and businessmen and women, we appeal for resistance to the urge to hike prices of goods and commodities, during this period as our compassionate nature must prevail.

Still speaking , the SGF express gladness to the level of cooperation as regards the lockdown protocol in Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja, while revealing that the task force has made progress in pulling together resources to strengthen its implementation strategy to ease the effect of coronavirus on members of the public, which he believes is a threat to human existence, security and national economy.
He further appealed to members of the public to work with the Nigerian Government through Law Enforcement Agencies during this stay home period to do their very best to curb the spread the Pandemic.
