Former Kwara United Midfielder Is Ecstatic About His Move To Greece.

Afeez Nosiru, a former midfielder for Kwara United and the Super Eagles B, is reportedly giddy after joining Panetolikos FC of the Greek first division from the Nigeria Professional Football league.

Nosiru was unveiled by Panetolikos on Saturday after the midfielder was given a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The club made the announcement via its Twitter account: “Panetolikos FC is pleased to announce its agreement with Afeez Nosiru.”

After two seasons at Kwara United, where he also received a call-up to the Super Eagles B for friendlies against Mexico, Ecuador, and Costa Rica last year, it is believed that Nosiru had already signed the contract before the end of the previous year.

Nosiru added that the change was eagerly anticipated.

“I feel fantastic and joyful. I’ve been looking forward to a chance like this that, in my opinion, will advance my career. We will accomplish more as a team because I have already assimilated into the group, Nosiru told PUNCH Sports extra.

After finishing fourth in the 2022 Nigeria Professional Football League, the former Niger Tornadoes player assisted Kwara United in earning a spot on the continent.

He has since started working out again with the team, but he will have to wait a little longer to make his debut since he wasn’t selected for their match against Lonikos on matchday 23.

Panetolikos has 27 points after 23 games and is ranked 7th in the Greek first division.
