Glo Delight Subscribers As It Announces 55% Discount on International Calls

Subscribers of the foremost telecommunication company, Globacom, are in for a good time as the company announces a whopping 55% discount on international call tariffs.

The move aimed at making international calls affordable on the Glo network will help Glo subscribers to interact with their friends and rel­atives in different parts of the world, especially at this period of COVID-19 pandemic, when people place constant calls to check up on their loved ones.

According to a Globacom’s statement in Lagos, the reduced tariff come without any subscription fee and allow subscribers to call European countries of the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Ireland. The list also includes a call to Sau­di Arabia as well as Camer­oon, Niger, Benin Republic, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire.

It stated further that the tariffs for each country vary, adding that they are the most competitive in the market.

According to Globacom, calls to the United Kingdom now costs between N24 and N100 per minute, depending on the network the subscrib­er’s call is landing. Hitherto, it costs between N30 and N130 per minute. In the same vein, a call to Italy and Spain which was charged at N90 and N130 per minute has now been reduced to N75 and N60 respectively.

Similarly, the tariff for calls to France and Ireland has been slashed from N65 and N60 to N50 and N40 re­spectively, while subscrib­ers will now talk to their loved ones in Cote d’Ivoire, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Togo and Niger at N150 per minute instead of the old N200 rate.
