The pay of government officials in the mainstream public service would increase by 20%, according to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State.

The State Universal Basic Education Board, local council development areas, and local government areas would all gain from the new structure once it goes into force on January 1, 2023.

Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the head of service for Lagos State, revealed this in a statement on Monday.

“Moreover, pls notice that the arrears for the months of January and February 2023 will be paid together with the months of April and March, respectively,” the notification continued.

“This move shows how dedicated the administration is to personnel welfare. Governmental employees are urged to demonstrate greater dedication and commitment in providing the state’s inhabitants with high-quality services.

As a result, all accounting officers are required to take note of the information in this circular and spread the word about it across the service.
