Rumors that chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, charged N25,000 for a private meet-and-greet and for admirers to see her cook in Abuja were refuted.
The chef, who gained notoriety after setting a record-breaking 100-hour period for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, revealed this in a post on her Twitter account on Friday.
In Abuja on June 24, 2023, Baci allegedly charged N25,000 for individual meet-ups, live cooking, and cuisine tasting, according to an alleged e-flier that recently appeared online.
When she heard this, she responded, “Hello everyone, This is to let everyone know that there will be no meet and greet events in Abuja. I would also never demand payment for such services. Thanks.”
