IBADAN EXPRESSWAY ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIVES, LEAVING SIX INJURED

Two people have been confirmed dead in an accident which happened on Tuesday, 21st of April at about 9:30 am on the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.

The Public Relations Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed that the auto-crash involved a Mazda bus and a motorcycle, which in his opinion was as a result of breaching road rules

He described that the Mazda bus was trying to overtake but without success hit the motorcycle, lost control and went into an incoming trailer.

At the point of the accident, 18 passengers were in the bus (13 males and 5 females). 6 people were injured and  2 men died, each from both the bus and the motorcycle. They were all taken to the hospital for medical care while the deceased were taken Isara Remo State Hospital’s Mortuary.
