President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Even though the details of their discussions have not been released ,sources suggested that it may not be unconnected with the ongoing peace effort in Mali.

The former President is ECOWAS’ Special Envoy seeking to end the political impasse, which has led to mass protests in the country.

West African subregional leaders had been making moves to avert a full-blown civil war in the country, requesting all sides in the crisis to make some comprise in a bid to end hostilities.
