On Wednesday, the Kaduna State House of Assembly officially approved the appointment of Mr. Jerry Adams as the substantive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Services.

The Speaker, Yusuf Dahiru Leeman, conveyed the confirmation after thorough deliberations among the lawmakers.

Following the nominee’s presentation of his profile and plans for positively influencing the lives of the people and the state through KADIRS, he was granted the privilege to take a bow and leave by the lawmakers.

In a subsequent interaction with journalists, the newly confirmed Chairman expressed his commitment to enhancing the State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

According to him, Kaduna State was second among the States in the North after Abuja with the highest IGR.

“Kaduna currently as of last year generated N58 billion trending behind, N68 billion.

“We are currently working on the IGR where Kaduna State will be less dependent, noting that is the major objective of the board at the moment,” he said.

He commended Governor Uba Sani for providing the opportunity to serve on a larger scale, promising to contribute significantly to the state’s welfare.
