Kamala Harris Picks Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as Running Mate

Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, has been selected by US Vice President Kamala Harris to be her running mate in the upcoming presidential election. Harris made her selection of Walz public on Tuesday.

Democrats took notice of Waltz when he referred to JD Vance and Donald Trump as “weird.” At a fundraiser gathering, Walz described Trump as “just a strange, weird dude.”

The 60-year-old lawmaker guided Minnesota’s demonstrations in 2020 following the Minneapolis death of George Floyd. In order to assist put an end to disturbances that started during the demonstrations, Walz also sent out the national guard.

Harris stated, “He’s delivered for working families like his as a governor, coach, teacher, and veteran.” It’s wonderful to have him among the group.

On Monday, Harris officially emerged as the Democratic Party’s presidential contender obtaining the necessary 2,350 delegates’ votes in order to be nominated. Selecting Harris to be his vice president was cited by President Joe Biden as one of his greatest choices.

Being the first Asian American and Black woman to head a major party ticket, the 59-year-old is a first. In the November polls, Harris and Walz will now compete against Trump and Vance.
