Mile 12 International Market Lagos State Traders have come out to express their loss to the lockdown order of the Federal Government as food items are left to perish due to low patronage from consumers.

The Chairman and spokes man of market, Alhaji Shehu Usman Jibril, confirmed this, while explaining attacks on approved vehicles conveying goods ordered online by customers. He noted that these attacks were frequent at Surulere and Ogudu on vehicles carrying yam, plantain and other valuable food items.

Further stating, “Another flash spot is the Lekki axis. Our trucks on that route were blocked and the assailants made away with more than 100 tubers of yam, two bags of rice in one swoop alongside other items. These incidents have slowed down our reach in the supply chain and to those we make supplies.”
