The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai guaranteed traders whose shops were demolished in the ongoing market demolition across the state that they will be given the right of first refusal when the new markets are completed.

He also assured that no trader will be short-changed in the re-distribution of shops and no shop will be allocated to any government official or civil servant in any of the markets.

Our sources had it that market structures at Kasuwar Barci in Tudun Wada area of Kaduna  South LGA; Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru LGA; Kawo market in Kaduna North LGA as well as Sabon Gari market in Zaria LGA have been demolished for reconstruction and modernization.

In a statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Muyiwa Adekeye stated  that the governor had assured this while responding to a caller during a chat with selected media organisationa at the weekend.
