Altman, known for his role in launching the AI chatbot, expressed his commitment to the mission.
Nadella mentioned that Altman would lead a new advanced AI research team at Microsoft.
Altman’s removal from OpenAI’s board on Friday led to other notable departures and reportedly triggered efforts by significant investors to reinstate him.
