The Nigerian Air Force is currently observing Fly Out parade for the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar.

The Fly-Out is a ceremony usually organized by the Nigerian Air Force for exiting Chiefs after a successful service to the Nation.

The ceremony kicked off by 9:15 am at the Nigerian Air Force base, Bill Clinton Drive Abuja.

The event will witness the presence of the new Chief of Air Staff(CAS), Air Vice Marshall Isiaka Amao, the Chief of Defence Staff(CDS), Major-General Iraboh.

A popular national daily recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari, last week, approved the resignation of Service Chiefs including Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

Buhari subsequently appointed Major-General Leo Irabor as Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru as Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A. Z. Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.
