As requested by the Lagos State Government, Nigerian artiste Naira Marley and Former Lagos State Governorship candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi have tendered their apology letters as an undertaking. Along with her husband, Folasade Gbadamosi submitted her.

Further more, the musician Naira Marley has agreed on Thursday to partner with the Lagos State Government to shoot a video against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The three defendants lawyers, Wale Akoni SAN, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, SAN and Damilola Ayinde-Marshal confirmed at the sitting which was adjourned for Thursday at the Magistrate Court, Ogba that all the letters requested of them by the  court have been given to the police at SCID, Panti, for processing by the Honourable Attorney-General of Lagos, Moyo Onigbanjo, SAN.

Magistrate Aje-Afunwa presiding over the case noted discharged the defandants“Accordingly, the three defendants are hereby discharged.” She also praised the defence team and the defendants for taking responsibilities.

Moreso, Senior Advocate of Nigeria and one of the defendants attorney, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa made an appeal for  Funke Akindele and others who have been arrested as regards violating the social distancing and movement restriction order of the State Government under state pardon, especially has the actress and all involved had shown remorse for their act.

He further said the Federal Government is granting amnesty to 2,600 prisoners, the Lagos State Governor could also do same.

“Nigerians have never been locked down for this long, without food or money and it is not proper to add to their woes with arrest and prosecution,” He said, commending the government for giving the order and seeing it is taken.
