Former APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, made an appearance at the Appeal Court in Abuja for the hearing on the Nasarawa State governorship poll, where key figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were present.

Notable attendees included Nasarawa Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, and former Information Minister, Labaran Maku.

The Appeal Court had scheduled Thursday, November 23, for the judgment in the appeal filed by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule of the APC.

The appeal contested the tribunal’s majority decision that nullified Sule’s election, favoring David Ombugadu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Previously, the state election petitions tribunal had nullified Governor Sule’s victory, which was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Although INEC reported Sule’s win with 347,209 votes against his opponent’s 283,016 votes, the tribunal’s split decision on October 2 declared PDP’s Ombugadu as the winner.

Unsatisfied with the tribunal’s ruling, Governor Sule appealed to the appellate court, seeking a reversal of the tribunal’s judgment.
