Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recently confirmed via it’s twitter handle that there has been rise in the Country’s COVID-19 record.
This record reads that 51 new people have tested positive to the virus, as 32 cases were confirmed in Lagos, 6 in Kano, 5 in Kwara, 2 each in Oyo and Abuja with 1 each in Ogun and Ekiti
” As at 10:10 pm 17th April there are 493 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reporteed in Nigeria”. The death record reads 17 with 4 new identifications while 159 recovered and have been discharged.
Before the record update by the national disease control body, on the 17th of April, Jigawa state recorded its first COVID-19 patient, Kaduna discharges three more patients who recovered from the virus and also in Akwa Ibom, two doctors
As a development strategy to combat the coronavirus pandemic, Gombe state set up two Isolation centres in the state, NCDC revealed its new strategy of testing nationwide as more donations are made to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
