The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed its daily target of testing 2000 coronavirus samples in country.

The agency’s Director General, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu via his social media handle said states have been provided with sample collection kits and developed innovative methods to cary out the testing exercise. He emphasizing that daily target of testing 2000 samples nationwide would be met.

Seeking for public cooperation , the NCDC DG noted that ” Our laboratories are ready and have the capacity to test. We must all push harder than we have”

At the moment, Nigeria has a record of 373 identified cases of COVID-19  infected persons, 99 have been discharged and 11 deaths confirmed.
