Most recently, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) gave an update to the growing number of COVID-19 infected persons in the country.
This update revealed that Lagos state has 10 new cases, Abuja recorded 2 cases, Oyo state also confirmed 2 as Delta and Katsina States recording their first.

”As of 9:30pm on April 7, the NCDC stressed that the country recorded a new death – total at six – while 44 people have been recovered from the disease and have since been discharged”.
Kastina state’s first victim was a Medical Doctor from Daura, identified as Dr. Aliyu Yakubu died on Saturday after his return from Lagos state stopping through Kogi state. He was not diagnosed to be infected with the virus not until after his death and to quickly tackle the situation before it gets out of hand, the Governor of Kastina State, Aminu Masari who made the disclosure directed that his contact be traced between Tuesday evening and Wednesday.
