The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control has given a run down of how protective kits and test gear donated by Chinese billionaire, Jack Ma were distributed nationwide.

The Federal Government of Nigeria received the donation from Ma’s Foundation through the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

The Agency revealed the breakdown via its social media handle on Thursday as he appreciated the foundation, stating that the distribution of 913 faces shields; 20, 000 reagents for testing; 9,999 overall gowns and 100, 000 faces mask, was done based on states with highest number of cases. ”The supplies received have been distributed to states accordingly, with priority given to states with the highest number of cases at the time of distribution”.

He went further to breakdown as follows

27,678 face masks; 2,596 overall gowns and 165 face shield all went to Lagos State Government,

Oyo State Government received 1,912 face mask; 291 overall gowns and 26 face shield,

Ogun State Government received 4, 375 face masks; 671 overall gowns and 58 face shield, while

Abuja received 14,115 face mask; 1906 overall gowns and 161 face shields.

1,500 face mask, 20 face shields and 110 overall gowns were distributed to twenty-eight states each as well.

”We’re grateful for the support from @foundation_ma in strengthening Nigeria’s response to #COVID19. The supplies received have been distributed to states accordingly, with priority given to states with the highest number of cases at the time of distribution”.
