Ngige meets CJN, chief justice asks JUSUN to end strike

THE Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, has approached the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria to cancel the continuous strike, which started on April 6.

This position was revealed in a press proclamation named, ‘CJN begs JUSUN to cancel strike,’ by the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the CJN, Ahuraka Isah, in Abuja on Tuesday.

The assertion read, “The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, on Tuesday met with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, at the Supreme Court over the progressing strike left upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria to interest for monetary self-rule for the Judiciary in the country.

“After being informed by the minister on the arrangement leveled up until this point, the CJN at that point mentioned the JUSUN to cancel the strike in light of a legitimate concern for the country and the bigger interest of justice.
