Over the fire incidence that happened at the Nipost headquarters in Abuja in the early hours of today Wednesday, The Post Master General/CEO of the Nigerian Poster service (NIPOST) Mr Abebayo Adewusi has assured that there is no cause for alarm.

Mr Adewusi while confirming the incident on his twitter page, commended the Federal Fire Service and the FCT fire department for their swift response in putting out the fire.

According to the NIPOST boss, the incident only affected the office of staff posting under the personnel unit and no damage to any vital document was recorded.

He added that the incidence did not cause any disruption to any of their operations.

There had been panic and temporary disruptions of activities within and around the complex when the NIPOST Headquarters was gutted by an early morning fire

Few of the senior officials in the the building as well as security personnel were immediately evacuated, while firemen arrived on time and put out the fire without much damage to the building .
