In the results that have been released so far for 15 local government areas in Edo State, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has surpassed other political parties.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate has won 11 of Edo State’s 18 local government areas, while Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured four of them. Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president, has yet to take a local government district.

Three more local government areas, Ovia North East, Etsako East, and Etsako West, will be announced after the results of the 15 council areas and votes have been announced.

Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, the State collation officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo, is awaiting the outcomes of the three LGAs as of the time this report was filed.
