The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the Commissioner of Police in Ondo, Bolaji Salami, to restore the security details of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

The order was contained in a memo on Monday from the Department of Operations, Force headquarters in Abuja and signed by Austine Agbonlahor, an Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

The letter with Ref. No CB: 2002/DOPS/FHQ/ABJ/VOL/77/168, said the directive must be effected immediately.

Last week, Ajayi complained that the Ondo State Commissioner of Police withdrew his security details adding that the Commissioner was following the directive of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Ajayi,who dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has not been in good terms with the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
