Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Uba holds a Round table with business community and social clubs in lagos

The Anambra State Governorship aspirant. Senator ifeanyi Ubah, had his roundtable discussion with the business community and social clubs In Lagos.

The event which took place on Wednesday 13th October 2021 at villa-park hotels Amuwo-odofin Lagos state had in attendance various clubs representative including the Ohaneze ndi-igbo and Anambra connect, etc.

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah during his campaign speech addressed the issue of insecurities in Anambra and how he intends to tackle them, he also cleared the allegation of his indebtedness to coscharis where he explained that the issue had long been resolved since 2013 after which about #7b was paid to him as compensation but mischief makers keep bringing up the case to smear his personality.

Furthermore, he presented his manifesto to the multitude of business men who attended the occasion as he pledged as follows;

  • To ensure the security of lives and property to safeguard businesses, promote as well as preserve indigenous trading skills, and establish a thriving subsistence in the state.

To lead an economic revolution, which harnesses the drive and entrepreneurial spirit of Ndi-Anambra and reposition Anambra state as truly

  • the gateway to the east and the economic hub for Nigeria and west Africa.
  • To revitalize; agriculture and also replicate agricultural feats seen in countries like Netherlands and Isreal who are major exporters of agro-products despite their limited land mass and harsh climatic conditions.
  • To develop public infrastructure, including an international cargo airport, an inland terminal, and reliable power supply
  • To reform the government to ensure transparency and accountability in all sectors.
  • To carry out a robust facelift of Awka; the state capital which may be rated as one of the least developed capital cities in Nigeria.
  • To create a light ring rail to connect major cities and economic centers in the state.
  • To transform town unions into ‘4th tiers of government’ in the state and create roles backed by law for the traditional rulers in the areas of security, alternative dispute resolution and restorative justice
  • To restore local government autonomy by holding local government elections within six months of assumption into office after being elected as the Governor thus, suspending joint account committee (JAC) account, allowing Local Government funds go to the Local Governments; and ensure that elections hold as and when due.

To this end, he enjoined everyone to speak to the people at home to come out in their numbers on November 6th when a new dawn will be set for Anambrarians.

The event ended by 11:30pm with an award presentation and photo sessions with several elated groups who were overly excited at the humility and confidence of the amiable SENATOR AND AWAITING GOVERNOR.
