Samuel Eto’o’s previous mark for the most goals scored by an African player in a Serie A season has been surpassed by the Nigerian international.
Before successfully defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano in the second attempt in the 74th minute, Osimhen missed a penalty in the 48th minute.
After scoring an equalizer for the Azzurri in their 1-1 draw with Udinese on Thursday, which helped Napoli win their first Serie A championship in 33 years, he also extended his record for the Most Goals Scored by an African Player in a Single Serie A Season.
