Osimhen scored the game-tying goal for Napoli against Udinese on Thursday in the 52nd minute.
Samuel Eto’o’s previous mark for the most goals scored by an African player in a Serie A season has been surpassed by the Nigerian international.
Before successfully defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano in the second attempt in the 74th minute, Osimhen missed a penalty in the 48th minute.
