Thomas Tuchel says now is not the time to “complain and explain” after being questioned on Tammy Abraham’s omission from the Chelsea squad for the FA Cup final against Leicester City.
Abraham has found himself out of favour at under Tuchel and subsequently been linked with a move away from the club in the summer transfer window.
Abraham did not even make the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Leicester at Wembley on Saturday – a decision that was publicly criticised by his girlfriend Leah Monroe.
She wrote on Instagram: “How on Earth do you make the decision to leave your top goalscorer out of the squad for a final?!
“The same person who even scored the goals to actually qualify for this competition?
“It’s not making any sense to me whatsoever.
“Not even the bench?! This has to be a joke.”
That post has since been deleted but was followed up with: “God is in control.”

Abraham, meanwhile, posted a photograph of him consoling team-mate Christian Pulisic at the final whistle, accompanied by the caption: “It hurts but we still have unfinished business.”
He then sent a message to the fans, some of who were able to attend the final: “Thank you for your support, good to have you back.”
Leicester are said to be interested in signing the England international, while West Ham United and Aston Villa have also been linked.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers of £40million for the 23-year-old striker, who has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.
