Tinubu, Atiku, Obi Absent as Supreme Court Rules

President Bola Tinubu, along with his main rivals in the presidential election, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi from the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, was notably absent from the Supreme Court in Abuja.

The Supreme Court was scheduled to deliver its judgment today regarding Atiku and Obi’s appeals against the tribunal’s decision that upheld Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.

Individuals present at the court included the Chief of Staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike; the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure.
