President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2024 budget estimates of N27.5 trillion to a joint session of the National Assembly today.
This marks his first budget presentation since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

The upper chamber granted Tinubu’s request to present the budget jointly to the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The revised budget increased by N1.5 trillion to N27.5 trillion after adjustments to the oil price benchmark and naira exchange rate.
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved an Appropriation Bill for 2024, reflecting a 26% increase from the 2023 budget.
Additionally, President Tinubu sought NASS approval for an $8.6 billion and €100 million external borrowing plan for critical infrastructure projects.
