Toyota, a Japanese automaker, announced on Tuesday its intention to introduce the world to the next generation of battery electric automobiles.
In 2026, the whole BEV lineup is expected to debut. The automaker estimated that its BEV factory will supply 1.7 million of the 3.5 million total vehicles produced by that year.
The company aims to reach a 1,000-kilometer vehicle cruising range using technologies including the integration of next-generation batteries with acoustic technology.
Toyota’s BEV Factory President, Takero Kato, stated: “We are determined to become a global leader in battery EV energy consumption, and the next generation of battery EVs will use new batteries.
“We will enhance our product appeal with the resources we earn to surpass customer expectations and secure earnings,” the statement reads.
