Many have been reportedly killed in an air strike carried out by the Nigerian Air Force in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident took place around 9 pm on Sunday during a Maulud celebration, where villagers had gathered.

While the Air Force has not officially confirmed the attack, a local source indicated that the villagers were mistakenly targeted in the air strike, under the belief that they were migrating bandits from Zamfara State camping in Tudun Biri.

The source added that the incident has instilled panic, prompting many residents to flee to neighboring villages to avoid potential further bomb attacks.

In response to the situation, the Kaduna State government has organized an emergency security meeting chaired by Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.

Attendees include the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force, Garrison commander of the one mechanized division of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, and the overseer of Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
